Seminar

ALL PUBLIC : The seminars are open to all, last for 4 h and include 15 to 20 people. See below for the different topics.

FOR COACHS : Two seminars are available for coaches who would like to deepen their biomechanical knowledge in order to conduct better assessments on their clients. The first one concerns Lower body assessment while the second one deals with Upper body assessment.

FOR OWNERS : If you own a gym and would like to host a seminar, please contact me for more details. I am flexible and I can work around you specific request.

Topics

Mobility & Breathing

When we talk about breathing in the context of physical performance, many are doubtful. Yet, breathing is paramount. This seminar tackles pre-training preparation, breathing management during the effort, recovery and CO2 tolerance improvement.

Furthermore, all of the above elements are complemented with a mobility work, since stiffness impedes the efficiency of breathing mechanics.

Programme

INTRODUCTION
Understanding the link between Mobility and Breathing. How breathing exercises can influence internal chemistry.

PART I
Physiology introduction. Understanding the internal journey of Oxygen and the importance of CO2 tolerance.

PART II
Mobility tests linked to the breath.

PART III
Mobility work through self-massaging and tissue/capsular stretching.

BREAK

PART I
Nasal breathing + CO2 Tolerance improvement by hypoxic training.

PART II
Superventilation to accelerate recovery in the training.

PART III
Recovery. Breath work to down regulate the internal system after training.

Squat

The quality of your Squat depends on your range of motion and your neuromotor control. If one of these is lacking, compensations will appear. As a result, not only will your performances decrease, but this could also be a breeding ground for injuries. Work on your range of motion, pay attention to the quality of your movement and the results will come naturally.

Programme

INTRODUCTION
Structure of the spine and its link with mobility and stability in the Squat movement.

PART I
Ankles/Hips/Posterior chain and Anterior chain tests. Squat analysis, related compensations and pathologies.

PART II
Mobility work through self-massaging and tissue/capsular stretching.

BREAK

PART I
Stabilizer muscles strengthening and application on the movement of the Squat.

PART II
VooDoo Floss Band introduction. How to apply on the ankle to achieve better mobility or on congested areas for reperfusion.

Shoulders

OVERHEAD/ FRONT RACK / PRESS / HANG

The shoulder is complex and each archetype needs to be fully understood in order to effectively improved mobility. If one’s range of motion is limited, compensations will appear in the wrists, elbows and back. These zones will be painful before the shoulders. Work your ROM in each archetype to perform better and avoid injuries.

Programme

INTRODUCTION
Structure of the spine and links with Shoulder mobility and stability.

PART I
Shoulder archetype tests. Understanding the related compensations and pathologies.

PART II
Mobility work through self-massaging and tissue/capsular stretching.

BREAK

PART III
Active mobility work through Overhead, Front Rack and Press movements.

PART IV
Introduction to the Voodoo Floss Band to improve Shoulder Mobility and relieve pain.

Seminars for Coaches

Two seminars are available for coaches who would like to deepen their biomechanical knowledge in order to conduct better assessments on their clients. The first one concerns Lower body assessment while the second one deals with Upper body assessment.

The basis of these seminars is to analyze the movement, recognize compensations, target their origin and bring solutions. Contact me for more informations. (Coming soon online)
